About

Marie Pampanin M.A., M.S., C-IAYT, and Heart Math Practitioner

Yoga Therapy Finding Ease, Fluidity, and Connection "Researchers have uncovered is yoga’s capacity to affect the nervous system by improving our ability to self-regulate. The practice uses methods that work via both the mind and the body, known in research as top-down and bottom-up regulation. Put simply, top-down regulation uses cognitive tools like meditation and ethical inquiry to affect the state of the body, whereas bottom-up regulation uses the body itself, through movement and breathing techniques, to change the state of the nervous system and to affect thoughts and emotions." (How Can Yoga Therapy Help? | YogaTherapy.Health, n.d.) Body awareness is key to understanding how physiology affects how we feel and react in our daily lives. By building skills through yogic practices, including breath work and meditation, we can build resilience and self-awareness for a balanced, harmonious lifestyle. I can help you to develop a toolbox of skills to help you achieve balance both in body and mind. Other ways I can support you are through goal setting in your personal life, work, or health & fitness, to assist in moving beyond roadblocks to living a more passionate, and fulfilling life.
